felt alphabet

Pratt student work

In one of my design classes, we created an analog alphabet.

I chose to make mine out of felt, using 4×4-inch squares to draw, cut, stuff, and hand-sew each letter. Wanting the alphabet to feel fun, bubbly, and cute, I used bright colors arranged in a gradient.

After completing the alphabet, we applied it to real-world designs by creating themed posters for events, advertisements, and fun facts.
